Lighthouse elects 2009 Board of Directors

The Lighthouse Outreach Mission recently elected its board officers for 2009.

The group includes president Frank Carlburg, vice president Curtis DeLapp, treasurer Stan Erwin, and clerk Lauri Rottmayer. The Lighthouse is headed by an eight-member board.

Founded in 1992, the Lighthouse serves as a beacon of hope for the homeless in the Bartlesville area. It provides those in need with temporary shelter, food, clothing and other services in a nurturing and dignified Christian atmosphere.

The Lighthouse offers regular chapel services and care to help those in need fight back against drug and alcohol addiction. The organization offers food boxes and will assist families with rent and utilities in an attempt to allow them to remain in their respective homes.

The Lighthouse is able to help those in need thanks to the good faith of the community. Donations are always accepted as is volunteer assistance. Psychologists, psychiatrists, optometrists, dentists and licensed cosmetologists who are willing to offer their time and expertise are appreciated. Volunteer drivers and laundry workers are helpful as well.

Those who are interested in learning more about the Lighthouse Outreach Center, which is located at 1411 West Hensley in Bartlesville, can contact founder Naomi Hill (336-9029) at the facility.
